MPI Antibody (A305-495A) in IP
Detection of human MPI by western blot of immunoprecipitates. Samples: Whole cell lysate (0.5 or 1.0 mg per IP reaction; 20% of IP loaded) from 293T cells prepared using NETN lysis buffer. Antibodies: Affinity purified rabbit anti-MPI antibody (Product # A305-495A) (lot 1) used for IP at 6 µg per reaction. MPI was also immunoprecipitated by rabbit anti-MPI antibody A305-494A. For blotting immunoprecipitated MPI, A305-495A was used at 1 µg/mL. Detection: Chemiluminescence with an exposure time of 30 seconds.

Target Information
Phosphomannose isomerase catalyzes the interconversion of fructose-6-phosphate and mannose-6-phosphate and plays a critical role in maintaining the supply of D-mannose derivatives, which are required for most glycosylation reactions. Mutations in the MPI gene were found in patients with carbohydrate-deficient glycoprotein syndrome, type Ib.
