Protease Inhibitor Cocktail II is recommended for use with bacterial cell extracts. We recommend a 5 mL stock solution of Protease Inhibitor Cocktail II for the inhibition of proteases extracted from 20 g of a bacterial pellet.
When reconstituted, each vial of Protease Inhibitor Cocktail II contains the following components:
Protease Inhibitor Cocktail II is recommended for use with bacterial cell extracts. You should first reconstitute each vial in 1 mL DMSO. Then add 4 mL DI water to obtain a 5 mL stock solution. The solution may appear turbid. The 5 mL stock is enough to inhibit protease activity extracted from a 20 g bacterial cell pellet.
After reconstitution, we recommend that you aliquot and freeze the solution at -20°C. Stock solutions are stable for at least 1 month at -20°C.
If the solution appears turbid after reconstitution, the solution for this material will appear turbid throughout its usage. This is normal and the material will function without issue.
We recommend that you reconstitute each vial with 1 mL DMSO first, and then add 4 mL water to obtain a 5 mL stock solution. The solution may appear turbid after reconstitution. 5 mL solution is recommended for the inhibition of proteases extracted from 20 g of E. coli. A 5 mL solution contains the following: 20 mM AEBSF.HCl, 1.7 mM bestatin, 200 µM E-64, 85 mM EDTA, and 2 mM pepstatin A.
