MA1-827 detects C/EBP beta protein in mouse and rat samples. MA1-827 detects the LAP*, LAP and LIP isoforms of C/EBP beta.
MA1-827 has successfully been used in Western blot, immunofluorescent and immunoprecipitation procedures. By Western blot, this antibody detects 38, 35 and 20 kDa proteins representing C/EBP beta LAP*, LAP, and LIP isoforms respectively, in 3T3-L1 cells. LIP is recognized as the C-terminus fragment. Immunofluorescent staining of C/EBP beta in P388D1 cells can be performed using MA1-827
The MA1-827 immunogen is recombinant mouse LIP.
This gene belongs to the forkhead family of transcription factors which is characterized by a distinct DNA-binding forkhead domain. The specific function of this gene has not yet been determined; however, it may play a role in the development of mesenchymal tissues.
