Western blot was performed using Anti-PIAS2 Monoclonal Antibody (OTI5B4) (Product # MA5-26974) and a 63-68kDa band corresponding to E3 SUMO-protein ligase PIAS2 was observed across cell lines and tissue extract tested except Mouse Prostate, Mouse Spleen and Mouse Brain which is reported to be low. Target Information
This gene encodes a protein involved in the regulation of transcription factors involved in MAP kinase signaling. The symbol MIZ1 has also been associated with ZBTB17 which is a different gene located on chromosome 1. Two alternatively spliced transcripts encoding different isoforms have been described.
