CHCHD10 Antibody (MA5-27531) in ICC/IF
Immunofluorescence of CHCHD10 was performed using HCT116 wild-type and CHCHD10 KO cells that were transfected with a green or a deep red fluorescent dye, respectively. Post-transfection, WT and KO cells were mixed and plated to a 1:1 ratio on coverslips as a mosaic and incubated for 24 hrs. Cells were fixed in 4% PFA (in PBS) for 15 min; cells were permeabilized with 0.1% Triton X-100 for 10 min at RT and blocked with PBS with 5% BSA, 5% goat serum, and 0.01% Triton X-100 for 30 min. Target Information
CHCHD10 encodes a mitochondrial protein that is enriched at cristae junctions in the intermembrane space. It may play a role in cristae morphology maintenance or oxidative phosphorylation. Mutations in this gene cause frontotemporal dementia and/or amyotrophic lateral sclerosis-2. Alternative splicing of this gene results in multiple transcript variants. Related pseudogenes have been identified on chromosomes 7 and 19.
