Galectin 2 Antibody (MA5-41591) in IHC (P)
Immunohistochemistry (Paraffin) analysis of Galectin 2 in human stomach tissue using Galectin 2 Monoclonal Antibody (C6) (Product # MA5-41591) (30 µg/mL) and using PBS intead of the primary antibody as a control. The sample was then stained with HRP-Goat anti-Mouse IgG polyclonal secondary antibody (2 µg/mL). DAB staining.

Target Information
The protein encoded by this gene is a soluble beta-galactoside binding lectin. The encoded protein is found as a homodimer and can bind to lymphotoxin-alpha. A single nucleotide polymorphism in an intron of this gene can alter the transcriptional level of the protein, with a resultant increased risk of myocardial infarction.
