Immunocytochemistry analysis of CaMKI in C2C12 cells. Nuclei were stained blue with DAPI; CaMKI recombinant monoclonal antibody (Product # MA5-53152) with a dilution of 1:1,000 was stained magenta with Alexa Fluor 647. Images were taken using Leica stellaris 5. Protein abundance based on laser Intensity and smart gain: Medium. Scale bar: 20 μm.

Target Information
CAMK1 (CaMK1) is a serine/threonine kinase that is a member of the calcium/calmodulin-dependent protein kinase family. It is involved in cell differentiation, nervous system development, and signal transduction. CAMK1 is expressed in many tissues and is a component of a calmodulin-dependent protein kinase cascade. Calcium/calmodulin directly activates calcium/calmodulin-dependent protein kinase I by binding to the enzyme and indirectly promotes the phosphorylation and synergistic activation of the enzyme by calcium/calmodulin-dependent protein kinase I kinase.
