PA1-73169 has been successfully used in Immunofluorescence applications.
The PA1-73169 antibody was raised against an extract of Cl. perfingens, Cl. sordellii, Cl. novyi, Cl. septicum, Cl. Chauvoei.
Clostridia are a highly polyphyletic class of Firmicutes, including Clostridium and other similar genera. Clostridia are distinguished from the Bacilli by lacking aerobic respiration. Clostridia are obligate anaerobes and oxygen is toxic to them. Diseases caused by Clostridia include botulism from C. botulinum as a result of exposure to botulinum toxin.
