HES2 Antibody (PA5-72398) in WB
Western blot analysis of HES2 in human placenta tissue lysate using 35 µg of protein per lane. Samples were incubated with HES2 polyclonal antibody (Product # PA5-72398) using a dilution of 1:1000 followed by a goat anti-rabbit IgG H&L (HRP) secondary antibody with a dilution of 1:5000.

Target Information
Transcription factor HES-2, of the HES family of proteins, contains one basic helix-loop-helix (bHLH) domain and one orange domain. It is reported to express in vascular smooth muscle cells, and may have some role in their differentiation. Activation of Notch signaling pathway leads to activation of Hes family genes through the interaction between Notch intracellular domain and RBPSUH (CSL). Hes family proteins are mammalian homologs of Drosophila Hairy and Enhancer of split. The Hes family of transcriptional repressors are implicated in the cell fate determination of stem cells (or precursor cells) by suppressing the expression of tissue-specific transcriptional activators.
