GAP43 Antibody (PA5-79299) in ICC/IF
Immunofluorescence analysis of GAP43 was performed using 70% confluent log phase SH-SY5Y cells differentiated to neurons and undifferentiated cells. The cells were fixed with 4% paraformaldehyde for 10 minutes, permeabilized with 0.1% Triton™ X-100 for 15 minutes, and blocked with 2% BSA for 45 minutes at room temperature. Target Information
GAP43 (Neuromodulin) is associated with nerve growth. GAP43 is expressed by developing and regenerating neurons, and to a lesser extent reactive glial cells. It is a major component of the motile "growth cones" that form the tips of elongating axons. GAP43 also plays a role in axonal and dendritic filopodia induction.
