Highest antigen sequence indentity to the following orthologs: Mouse (81%), Rat (81%).
This recombinant protein control fragment may be used for blocking experiments with the corresponding antibody, PA5-82089. In IHC/ICC and WB experiments, we recommend a 100x molar excess of the protein fragment control based on the concentration and the molecular weight. Pre-incubate the antibody-protein control fragment mixture for 30 min at room temperature.
SPTB (Spectrin Beta, Erythrocytic) is a Protein Coding gene. Diseases associated with SPTB include Spherocytosis, Type 2 and Elliptocytosis 3. Among its related pathways are Cytokine Signaling in Immune system and RET signaling. Gene Ontology (GO) annotations related to this gene include protein heterodimerization activity and actin filament binding. An important paralog of this gene is SPTBN1.
