Description
It is used as iodine supplement, expectorant or in its radioactive (I-131) form as an diagnostic aid, particularly for thyroid function tests. sodium Iodide are used in photography and as analytical reagents. It is also used in the measurement of the energy of gamma rays, also used in organic synthesis.
