The StockMarks™ for Horses Equine 17-plex Genotyping Kit includes 17 microsatellite markers recommended by the International Society for Animal Genetics (ISAG), co-amplified in a single tube. Accurate with All Sample Types
All StockMarks™ kits amplify microsatellite markers by means of PCR and fluorescent dye-labeled primers. PCR is more accurate than serological typing and requires less sample, is easier to standardize and automate, and is successful with all types of samples, including blood, semen, and hair. Additionally, when fluorescent dye is used to label PCR primers, multiple amplifications can be performed in a single reaction.
