• La gabapentine est un analogue GABA hydrosoluble présentant des activités anticonvulsivantes et analgésiques
• Le mécanisme d’action exact est inconnu, mais il a été décrit que ce composé inhibe l’activité des neurones excitateurs en interagissant avec les canaux calciques sensibles à la tension dans les neurones corticaux
Application
• La gabapentine a été utilisée comme α2δ-ligand pour examiner si le dosage d’aversion thermique sensibilisé à l’isothiocyanate d’allyle (AITC) pourrait être utile comme méthode d’analyse pour l’identification d’analgésiques présomptifs
