Description
Regioselective chlorination and oxidizing reagentN-Chlorosuccinimide is used as a chlorinating agent, mild oxidant and swimming pool disinfectant. It is used in the microdetermination of hydrazine salts by titrimetry as well as in the detection of arsenic in the +3 oxidative state. It is also employed in the production of rubber additives. Further, it is used as pharmaceutical intermediate and antibiotic drugs intermediate.

Applications
Le N-chlorosuccinimide, un réactif de chloration et d’oxydation régiosélective, est utilisé comme agent de chloration, oxydant doux et désinfectant pour piscine. Solubilité
Soluble dans l’eau, l’alcool, le benzène, l’acétone et l’acide acétique. Légèrement soluble dans l’éther, le chloroforme, le tétrachlorure de carbone et l’éther de pétrole.

Sensible à la lumière et à l’humidité. Incompatible avec les agents oxydants forts, les acides forts, les bases fortes, les amines, l’ammoniac, le fer et les sels de fer.
