Description
Cyanoacetic acid is used in pharmaceutical industry for producing vitamin B6 and caffeine. It is also used in making dyes, agricultural chemicals, and in the synthesis of phenylacetic acid esters. It acts as a precursor cyanoacrylates viz. ethyl cyanoacrylate.

Applications
L’acide cyanoacétique est utilisé dans l’industrie pharmaceutique pour produire de la vitamine B6 et de la caféine. Hygroscopique. Incompatible avec des bases fortes, des acides, des agents oxydants forts, des agents alcalins, des nitriles et des agents réducteurs.
