Description
Pentadecanolide is a monomer used to make PGA-co-pentadecalactone polymers to be used in the development of directly compressed prolonged release tablets of slightly soluble drugs such as ketoprofen. Pentadecanolide may be used for the synthesis of poly(pentadecanolide) (PPDL) by Novozyme 435 catalyzed ring-opening polymerization. It may be employed as starting reagent for the synthesis of terminally-branched iso-fatty acids (iso-C15-C17).

Applications
Le pentadecanolide est un monomère utilisé pour fabriquer des polymères de PGA-co-pentadecalactone utilisé pour la fabrication de comprimés à libération prolongée directement compressés contenant des médicaments légèrement solubles tels que le kétoprofène. Le pentadecanolide peut être utilisé pour la synthèse du poly(pentadecanolide) (PPDL) par polymérisation par ouverture de cycle catalysée par Novozyme 435. Il peut être utilisé comme réactif de départ pour la synthèse d’acides gras iso à branche terminale (iso-C15-C17).
Solubilité
Soluble dans l’alcool, le dipropylène glycol. Insoluble dans l’eau.

Stockez-le dans un endroit frais. Garder le récipient bien fermé dans un endroit sec et bien ventilé. Conserver à l’écart des agents oxydants forts.
