Description
A compound has been shown to reversibly block voltage-dependent potassium channels. Also a common impurity from the synthesis of compounds found in hair dye. Used as a water miscible solvent and as an intermediate in manufacturing pharmaceuticals like diuretics. It is used as a research tool, in characterizing subtypes of the potassium channel.

Applications
Il a été constaté quʼun composant bloque de façon réversible les canaux de potassium dépendants de la tension. Aussi une impureté commune à partir de la synthèse de composés trouvés dans le colorant capillaire. Hygroscopique. Garder le récipient bien fermé dans un endroit sec et bien ventilé. Conserver à l’écart des agents oxydants forts, et des acides.
