3-Methylpentane is used as a solvent in the preparation of vegetable oils, glues, coatings, and paints. It is also used in gasoline, rubber solvent, and petroleum ether.

Applications
Le 3-méthylpentane est utilisé comme solvant dans la préparation dʼhuiles végétales, de colles, de revêtements et de peintures. Il est également utilisé dans lʼessence, le solvant en caoutchouc et lʼéther de pétrole.

Soluble dans l’eau. 0,013 g/l à 20°C). Miscible dans lʼéther, lʼacétone. Soluble dans l’éthanol.

Remarques
À stocker dans un endroit frais, sombre et bien ventilé. Conserver à l’écart des matériaux incompatibles tels que les agents oxydants.
