Description

Octanoyl chloride is used to produce adhesives. It is used as an acylating agent for a variety of compounds such as sugars (e.g. Sucrose, aromatic compounds (e.g. Anisole and monoglycerides.

Applications
Le chlorure d’octanoyle sert à produire des adhésifs. Il sert d’agent d’acylation pour divers composés tels que les sucres (p. ex. saccharose, composés aromatiques (p. ex. anisole et monoglycérides.

Solubilité
Soluble dans les solvants organiques (acétone, chloroforme, toluène, THF). Il s’hydrolyse dans l’eau.

Remarques
Sensible à l’humidité. Incompatible avec les bases, alcools, mines, agents oxydants. Stocker loin de l’alcool et des amines.
