Description
n-Hexyl acetate exhibits antimicrobial activity and can be used to improve the safety of minimally processed fruits. It is a fruity smelling fluid used as flavoring agent or in perfumes. It is a green leaf volatile from cabbage Brassica oleracea var. capitata L. It is used as plasticizers.

Applications
L’acétate de N-hexyle présente une activité antimicrobienne et peut être utilisé pour améliorer l’innocuité des fruits peu transformés. Il s’agit d’un fluide d’odeur fruité utilisé comme aromatisant ou dans les parfums. Il s’agit d’une feuille verte volatile du chou Brassica oleracea var. capitata L. Il est utilisé comme plastifiants.

Soluble dans l’alcool, l’éther. Insoluble dans l’eau.
