Description
5-Methoxypiperonal is used in the synthesis of oxazole combretastatin A-4 analogs showing anti-tumor activity. It is also used in the synthesis of endothelin-A antagonist ABT-546, and further in the synthesis of antidepressant rolipram.

Applications
Le 5-méthoxypiperonal est utilisé dans la synthèse dʼanalogues A-4 de la combrétastatine oxazole montrant lʼactivité anti-tumorale. Il est également utilisé dans la synthèse de lʼantagoniste de lʼendothéline-A ABT-546, et plus loin dans la synthèse de lʼantidépresseur rolipram.

Remarques
Sensible à l’air. Incompatible avec lʼair, agents oxydants. Stocker sous gaz inerte sec. Conserver à l’abri de l’air.
