HEKn-APF are human epidermal keratinocytes from neonatal foreskin that are isolated, grown, and cryopreserved in an environment free of animal-derived components (“animal product-free” or “APF”).
 

• Each vial of this product contains ≥5 x 10⁵ viable cells that are cryopreserved at the end of the primary culture stage in Synth-a-Freeze Cryopreservation Medium (Cat.No. A1254201) 

• Each lot of cells is tested for mycoplasma, hepatitis B, hepatitis C, and HIV-1 viruses 

• Each lot of cells is performance and sterility tested by culturing the cells through multiple passages in EpiLife Medium (Cat. No. MEPI500CA) supplemented with Supplement S7 (Cat. No. S0175) in the absence of antibiotics and antimycotics 

• Upon thawing, the cells are guaranteed to be ≥70% viable and to have a potential of ≥30 population doublings
