Unless noted below, aliquots of the 5 µg, 10 µg and 20 µg sizes of kinase are not recommended as materials can be used in original packaging until exhausted. For larger sizes, the number of freeze/thaws may be reduced by preparing aliquots, aliquots below 20 µL are not recommended. Please never store a kinase diluted. If properly stored at -80C, this product is guaranteed for 6 months from date of purchase.

Cyclin-dependent kinase 9 (CDK9) and Cyclin T1 form the positive transcription elongation factor b (p-TEFb) complex, which is crucial for transcriptional regulation and mRNA maturation. CDK9 is a transcriptional kinase expressed widely across human tissues, with notably higher levels in terminally differentiated cells, influencing transcriptional elongation by phosphorylating the RNA polymerase II C-terminal domain. The dysregulation of CDK9/Cyclin T1's activity has connections to tumorigenesis, highlighting their importance in cancer biology as potential therapeutic targets.
