          Product Specific Information

          These Polyclonal antibodies are of rabbit origin developed by immunizing animals with proteins or peptides. The polyclonal antibody is purified by affinity purification from the rabbit sera generated after immunizing the rabbits with a specific type of protein or peptide. The purified antibody is tested for its functionality in various relevant research applications. The antibody is developed for Research Use Only and is non-hazardous or non-infectious in nature.

          This antibody is predicted to react with Monkey, Horse and Rabbit.

          Target Information

          MSX1 is a member of the muscle segment homeobox gene family. It functions as a transcriptional repressor during embryogenesis through interactions with components of the core transcription complex and other homeoproteins. MSX1 may also have roles in limb-pattern formation, craniofacial development, particularly odontogenesis, and tumor growth inhibition. Mutations in the gene, which was once known as homeobox 7, have been associated with nonsyndromic cleft lip with or without cleft palate 5, Witkop syndrome, Wolf-Hirschom syndrome, and autosomoal dominant hypodontia.
