          CDK1 Antibody (MA5-11472) in ICC/IF

Immunofluorescent analysis of Cdk1 (green) showing staining in the cytoplasm of NIH-3T3 cells. Formalin-fixed cells were permeabilized with 0.1% Triton X-100 in TBS for 5-10 minutes and blocked with 3% BSA-PBS for 30 minutes at room temperature. Cells were probed with a Cdk1 monoclonal antibody (Product # MA5-11472) in 3% BSA-PBS at a dilution of 1:100 and incubated overnight at 4 °C in a humidified chamber. Cells were washed with PBST and incubated with a DyLight-conjugated secondary antibody in PBS at room temperature in the dark. F-acti... Product Specific Information

MA5-11472 targets Cdk1 in ICC/IF, IHC (P), IP, and WB applications and shows reactivity with Chicken, Guinea Pig, Human, mouse, Rodent, Rat, and Xenopus laevis samples.

The MA5-11472 immunogen is c-Terminal 2/3 of Xenopus CDC2 expressed in E. coli.

          Target Information

CDK1 or Cell Division Control protein 1 is essential for the completion of START, the controlling event in the cell cycle that is required to initiate mitosis. CDK1 is a catalytic subunit of a protein kinase complex, called the M-Phase Promoting Factor that induces entry into mitosis and is universal among eukaryotes. Phosphorylation of Bcl-2 in G2/M phase-arrested cells following photodynamic therapy with hypericin involves a CDK1-mediated signal and delays the onset of apoptosis. Therapeutic potential of CDK inhibitor NU2058 in androgen-independent prostate cancer has also been demonstrated.
