Lefty1/Lefty2 Antibody (MA5-38044) in IHC (P)
Immunohistochemistry analysis of Lefty1/Lefty2 in paraffin-embedded human colon carcinoma. Samples were incubated with Lefty1/Lefty2 Monoclonal antibody (Product # MA5-38044) using a dilution of 1:100 (40x lens). Perform microwave antigen retrieval with 10 mM Tris/EDTA buffer pH 9.0 before commencing with IHC staining protocol.

Target Information
Left-right determination factor 1 and 2 (Lefty1/2) belong to the TGF-beta superfamily of proteins and are responsible for determination of left-right positioning of visceral organs during embryogenesis. Lefty1 acts as a regulator of Lefty2 and NODAL as the lack of the former resulted in bilateral expression of nodal, lefty2 and Pitx2 (a homeobox gene normally expressed on the left side and blocks the signal for leftness). Lefty2 may play a role in endometrial bleeding.
