Themis Antibody (MA5-42501) in ICC/IF
Immunocytochemistry-Immunofluorescence analysis of of Themis in 293T cells (green). Formalin fixed cells were permeabilized with 0.1% Triton X-100 in TBS for 10 minutes at room temperature and blocked with 1% Blocker BSA for 15 minutes at room temperature. Cells were probed with Themis Recombinant Monoclonal Antibody (Product # MA5-42501) at a dilution of 1:50 for 1 hour at room temperature, washed with PBS. Target Information
Themis is a cytoplasmic protein that is essential for positive selection and the development of single-positive thymocytes. Highest levels of expression are found in CD4+CD8+ double-positive thymocytes, with lower expression found in mature T cells. In addition to Grb1, Themis has been found to associate with PLC gamma 1 and LAT and is quickly phosphorylated by SLP-76 following TCR signaling. There are 5 isoforms of mouse Themis that are produced as a result of alternative splicing.
