Western blot analysis of n-Myc in SH-SY5Y. Samples were incubated with n-Myc Recombinant monoclonal antibody (Product # MA5-51413) using a dilution of 1:2,000 followed by HRP Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG (H+L) secondary antibody at a dilution of 1:10,000. Lysates/proteins: 25 µg per lane. Blocking buffer: 3% nonfat dry milk in TBST. Detection: ECL Enhanced Kit. Exposure time: 60s.

Target Information
N-Myc protein is member of the MYC family of transcription factor proteins with a basic helix-loop-helix (bHLH) domain. N-Myc is similarly regulated and functionally complementary to C-Myc in the context of various cellular growth and differentiation processes. MYCN gene is considered the hallmark of neuroblastoma, amplification and overexpression of the MYCN proto-oncogene occurs in approximately 20% of neuroblastomas and is associated with advanced stage disease, rapid tumor progression, and poor prognosis.
