          Blimp-1 Antibody (PA5-19216) in ICC/IF

Immunocytochemistry analysis of Blimp-1 using Blimp-1 Polyclonal Antibody (Product # PA5-19216) in paraformaldehyde fixed HeLa cells, permeabilized with 0.15% Triton. Primary incubation 1hr (10 µg/mL) followed by Alexa Fluor 488 secondary antibody (2 µg/mL), showing nuclear staining. Actin filaments were stained with phalloidin (red) and the nuclear stain is DAPI (blue). Negative control: Unimmunized goat IgG (10 µg/mL) followed by Alexa Fluor 488 secondary antibody (2 µg/mL). {{ $ctrl.currentElement.advancedVerification.fullName }} validation info. View more

          Product Specific Information

This antibody is predicted to react with bovine, canine, mouse, porcine and rat based on sequence homology.

This antibody is tested in Peptide ELISA: antibody detection limit dilution 1,000.

          Target Information

Blimp-1 (B lymphocyte maturation protein-1) is a nuclear protein with five zinc fingers in its carboxy terminus. It is a transcriptional repressor that is both required and sufficient to trigger terminal differentiation of B lymphocytes and monocyte/macrophages. Blimp-1 is expressed in, and may be required for terminally differentiated epithelial cells, retinal neurons and other lineage cells. It has also been implicated in the repression of beta-interferon (IFN-beta) and c-myc gene expression.

For Research Use Only. Not for use in diagnostic procedures. Not for resale without express authorization.
