JAB1 Antibody (PA5-79060) in ICC/IF
Immunocytochemistry analysis of JAB1 using anti-JAB1 antibody (Product # PA5-79060). JAB1 was detected in a section of A431 cells. Enzyme antigen retrieval was performed using IHC enzyme antigen retrieval reagent for 15 mins. The cells were blocked with 10% goat serum and then incubated with 1μg/mL rabbit anti-JAB1 antibody (Product # PA5-79060) overnight at 4°C. Target Information
JAB-1 is a 38 kDa protein which was originally described as a coactivator for cJUN. It is present in a large protein complex called the "Signalosome", which has been proposed to play a signaling role in mammalian cells. This protein complex appears to be analogous to the COP9 complex in plants, which is important in light-mediated plant development. Although the specific function of JAB-1 in this complex is unclear, it has recently been implicated in targeting proteins for degradation by the proteasome.
