Western blot analysis of ZGPAT in mouse spleen. Samples were incubated with ZGPAT Polyclonal antibody (Product # PA5-95807) using a dilution of 1:800, followed by HRP Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG (H+L) at a dilution of 1:10,000. Lysates/proteins: 25 µg per lane. Blocking buffer: 3% nonfat dry milk in TBST. Detection: ECL Basic Kit. Exposure time: 180s.

Target Information
Transcription repressor that specifically binds the 5'-GGAG[GA]A[GA]A-3' consensus sequence. Represses transcription by recruiting the chromatin multiprotein complex NuRD to target promoters. Negatively regulates expression of EGFR, a gene involved in cell proliferation, survival and migration. Its ability to repress genes of the EGFR pathway suggest it may act as a tumor suppressor. Able to suppress breast carcinogenesis. [UniProt]
