Highest antigen sequence indentity to the following orthologs: Mouse (72%), Rat (72%).
This recombinant protein control fragment may be used for blocking experiments with the corresponding antibody, PA5-59566. In IHC/ICC and WB experiments, we recommend a 100x molar excess of the protein fragment control based on the concentration and the molecular weight. Pre-incubate the antibody-protein control fragment mixture for 30 min at room temperature.
C14orf159 (chromosome 14 open reading frame 159, DGLUCY, D-glutamate cyclase) is a human gene that encodes an enzyme involved in amino acid metabolism, specifically catalyzing the conversion of D-glutamate into 5-oxo-D-proline. Unlike many 'open reading frame' genes, DGLUCY has a defined biochemical function, though its broader physiological roles and clinical significance are still being investigated.
