Highest antigen sequence indentity to the following orthologs: Mouse (65%), Rat (65%).
This recombinant protein control fragment may be used for blocking experiments with the corresponding antibody, PA5-83317. In IHC/ICC and WB experiments, we recommend a 100x molar excess of the protein fragment control based on the concentration and the molecular weight. Pre-incubate the antibody-protein control fragment mixture for 30 min at room temperature.
LEG1 (liver-enriched gene 1, C6orf58), also known as LECT2-like gene 1 in some contexts, encodes a protein that is more functionally characterized than many 'open reading frame' genes and is often associated with liver expression. It is thought to play roles in development, regeneration, or immune-related processes, but its precise functions and mechanisms in humans are still not fully defined. May be involved in early liver development.
