For maximum recovery please spin prior to use. Unless noted below, aliquots of the 5 µg, 10 µg and 20 µg sizes of kinase are not recommended as materials can be used in original packaging until exhausted. For larger sizes, the number of freeze/thaws may be reduced by preparing aliquots, aliquots below 20 µL are not recommended. Please never store a kinase diluted. If properly stored at -80C, this product is guaranteed for 6 months from date of purchase.
Recombinant full-length human CDK3 and Cyclin E1 were co-expressed by baculovirus in Sf9 insect cells using an N-terminal GST tag on both proteins.

Target Information
CDK3, or Cyclin-Dependent Kinase 3, is a member of the cyclin-dependent kinase family involved in regulating cell cycle progression. Although less well-studied than some other CDKs, CDK3 is believed to play a role in the transition from the G1 phase to the S phase of the cell cycle.
Cyclin E is a regulatory subunit that binds to CDK3 and activates its kinase activity. The binding of Cyclin E to CDK3 is crucial for the proper functioning of CDK3, as cyclins regulate the activation and specificity of CDKs.
Together, the CDK3/Cyclin E complex contributes to the regulation of the cell cycle by phosphorylating target proteins that are essential for the G1 to S phase transition, thereby promoting DNA replication and cell division.
