Highest antigen sequence indentity to the following orthologs: Mouse (29%), Rat (29%).
This recombinant protein control fragment may be used for blocking experiments with the corresponding antibody, PA5-63800. In IHC/ICC and WB experiments, we recommend a 100x molar excess of the protein fragment control based on the concentration and the molecular weight. Pre-incubate the antibody-protein control fragment mixture for 30 min at room temperature.
This gene encodes a member of a family of proteins that may have roles in transcription and other nuclear processes. The encoded protein contains a KRAB (Kruppel-associated box) domain -A box and a SET (Su(var)3-9, Enhancer-of-zeste, Trithorax) domain and may function as a histone methyltransferase.
