This recombinant protein control fragment may be used for blocking experiments with the corresponding antibody, PA5-82389. In IHC/ICC and WB experiments, we recommend a 100x molar excess of the protein fragment control based on the concentration and the molecular weight. Pre-incubate the antibody-protein control fragment mixture for 30 min at room temperature.
RPS6KB2 (p70S6K beta) is a serine/threonine kinase with 2 non-identical kinase catalytic domains which phosphorylates the S6 ribosomal protein and eukaryotic translation initiation factor 4B (eIF4B). Phosphorylation of S6 leads to an increase in protein synthesis and cell proliferation.
