Highest antigen sequence indentity to the following orthologs: Mouse (99%), Rat (99%).
This recombinant protein control fragment may be used for blocking experiments with the corresponding antibody, PA5-82236. In IHC/ICC and WB experiments, we recommend a 100x molar excess of the protein fragment control based on the concentration and the molecular weight. Pre-incubate the antibody-protein control fragment mixture for 30 min at room temperature.
TSG101-4A10 recognizes TSG101 protein, the product of a recently identified Tumor Susceptibility Gene whose inactivation in mouse fibroblasts results in cell transformation and the ability of those cells to form tumors in nude mice. The TSG101 gene encodes a 46 kDa protein and contains a proline-rich domain and a leucine-zipper motif within a coiled-coil domain near the carboxyl terminus.
