Highest antigen sequence indentity to the following orthologs: Mouse (81%), Rat (81%).
This recombinant protein control fragment may be used for blocking experiments with the corresponding antibody, PA5-139906. In IHC/ICC and WB experiments, we recommend a 100x molar excess of the protein fragment control based on the concentration and the molecular weight. Pre-incubate the antibody-protein control fragment mixture for 30 min at room temperature.
TSPAN15 is a member of the transmembrane 4 superfamily, also known as the tetraspanin family. Most of these members are cell-surface proteins that are characterized by the presence of four hydrophobic domains. The proteins mediate signal transduction events that play a role in the regulation of cell development, activation, growth and motility. The use of alternate polyadenylation sites has been found for this gene. The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the transmembrane 4 superfamily, also known as the tetraspanin family.
