For maximum recovery please spin prior to use. Unless noted below, aliquots of the 5 µg, 10 µg and 20 µg sizes of kinase are not recommended as materials can be used in original packaging until exhausted. For larger sizes, the number of freeze/thaws may be reduced by preparing aliquots; aliquots below 20 µL are not recommended. Please never store a kinase diluted. If properly stored at -80C, this product is guaranteed for 6 months from date of purchase.
This full-length, purified and active LRRK2 G2019S mutant protein may be useful in research to better understand the most common Parkinson's disease-relevant mutant, as well as to explore the mechanisms underlying the disease.

LRRK2 (Leucine Rich Repeat Kinase 2) is a Protein Coding gene. Diseases associated with LRRK2 include Parkinson Disease 8, Autosomal Dominant and Hereditary Late-Onset Parkinson Disease. Among its related pathways are Signaling by PTK6 and ncRNAs involved in Wnt signaling in hepatocellular carcinoma. Gene Ontology (GO) annotations related to LRRK2 (G2019S Mutant) include protein homodimerization activity and transferase activity, transferring phosphorus-containing groups. An important paralog of LRRK2 (G2019S Mutant) is TNNI3K. Mutations in the leucine-rich repeat kinase 2 (LRRK2) gene, which codes for a multidomain protein kinase, are considered the most common genetic cause of late-onset autosomal-dominant Parkinson's disease.
