MA1-36194 binds biotin from various samples.
MA1-36194 has been successfully used in flow cytometry applications. Excitation 488 nm, peak emission 525 nm.
It is recommended that between 0.05 µg - 0.2 µg of streptavidin be used per 10^6 cells in 100 µl staining volume.
Target Information
Streptavidin is a tetrameric protein purified from Streptomyces avidinii that binds very tightly to the vitamin biotin with a Kd of ~ 10-14 mol/l. The high affinity recognition of biotin and biotinylated molecules has made streptavidin one of the most important components in diagnostics and laboratory kits.
