Fixed bovine pulmonary artery endothelial cells stained with MitoFluor™ Red 589.

Fixed bovine pulmonary artery endothelial cells stained with MitoFluor™ Red 589. Cells were first fixed with 4% formaldehyde for 10 minutes at 37°C and then incubated with 1 µM MitoFluor™ Red 589 (M22424) for 2 minutes. Mitochondrial uptake of the stain is independent of mitochondrial membrane potential, allowing the dye to be mitochondrion-selective in both live and fixed cells.
