PKM2 Antibody (703382) in WB
Western blot analysis was performed on whole cell extracts (30 µg lysate) of PANC-1 (Lane 1), MCF7 (Lane 2), Jurkat (Lane 3), MDA-MB-231 (Lane 4) and SK-BR-3 (Lane 5). The blot was probed with Anti-PKM2 Recombinant Rabbit Monoclonal Antibody (Product # 703382, 1:5000 dilution) and detected by chemiluminescence using Goat anti-Rabbit IgG (Heavy Chain) Superclonal™ Secondary Antibody, HRP conjugate (Product # A27036, 1:4000 dilution). A ~58 kDa band corresponding to PKM2 was observed across the cell lines tested.

Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems. The expression systems are developed by cloning in the specific antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits. Then, individual clones are screened to select the best candidates for production. Target Information
PKM2 is a pyruvate kinase that catalyzes the production of phosphoenolpyruvate from pyruvate and ATP. PKM2 has been shown to interact with thyroid hormone, and thus may mediate cellular metabolic effects induced by thyroid hormones. PKM2 has been found to bind Opa protein, a bacterial outer membrane protein involved in gonococcal adherence to and invasion of human cells, suggesting a role of this protein in bacterial pathogenesis. Three alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding two distinct isoforms of PKM2 have been reported.
