Description: This TUGm2 monoclonal antibody reacts with mouse CD132, which is also known as the common gamma chain. This 65-kDa subunit is shared by the IL-4, IL-7, IL-9, and IL-15 receptors. CD132 is expressed on T and B lymphocytes, NK cells, monocytes, and granulocytes. CD132 is involved in intracellular signal transduction by associating with effector molecules within the cytoplasm. Mutations in the human common gamma chain gene result in X-linked severe combined immunodeficiency (XSCID), a disease characterized by T cell deficiency leading to impairment of cell-mediated and humoral immunity.^M

Applications Reported: This TUGm2 antibody has been reported for use in flow cytometric analysis.^M
^M
Applications Tested: This TUGm2 antibody has been tested by flow cytometric analysis of mouse splenocytes. This can be used at less than or equal to 2 µg per test. A test is defined as the amount (µg) of antibody that will stain a cell sample in a final volume of 100 µL. Cell number should be determined empirically but can range from 10^5 to 10^8 cells/test. It is recommended that the antibody be carefully titrated for optimal performance in the assay of interest.^M

IL2RG is an important signaling component of many interleukin receptors, including those of interleukin -2, -4, -7 and -21, and is thus referred to as the common gamma chain. Mutations in this gene cause X-linked severe combined immunodeficiency (XSCID), as well as X-linked combined immunodeficiency (XCID), a less severe immunodeficiency disorder.
