Malondialdehyde Antibody (MA5-45807) in IHC
Immunohistochemistry analysis using Kidney. Samples were incubated with Malondialdehyde monoclonal antibody (Product # MA5-45807) at 1:100 for Overnight at 4C, then 30 min at 37C, followed by Goat Anti-Mouse IgG (H+L): FITC for 45 min at 37C. Counterstain used was DAPI for 3 min at RT. Magnification: 10X.

A 1:1,000 dilution of MA5-45807 was sufficient for detection of Malondialdehyde in 2 µg of Malondialdehyde conjugated to BSA by ECL immunoblot analysis using Goat Anti-Mouse IgG:HRP as the secondary Antibody.|Specific for Malondialdehyde conjugated proteins. Does not detect free Malondialdehyde. Does not cross-react with Acrolein, Crotonaldehyde, Hexanoyl Lysine, 4-Hydroxy-2-hexenal, 4-Hydroxy nonenal, or Methylglyoxal modified proteins.
Target Information
Malondialdehyde is an organic compound with the formula CH2(CHO)2, and a byproduct of lipid metabolism in the body. Malondialdehyde, a highly reactive compound, is one of the many reactive electrophile species that cause toxic stress in cells and form covalent protein adducts, called advanced lipoxidation end products (ALE). This compound also forms mutagenic DNA adducts when it reacts with deoxyadenosine and deoxyguanosine in DNA. Malondialdehyde is also found in many foods and is present in high levels in rancid foods.
