Sox17 Antibody (TA500282) in WB
HEK293T cells were transfected with the pCMV6-ENTRY control (Left lane) or pCMV6-ENTRY SOX17 (RC220888, Right lane) cDNA for 48 hrs and lysed. Equivalent amounts of cell lysates (5 µg per lane) were separated by SDS-PAGE and immunoblotted with anti-SOX17. Positive lysates LY411669 (100 µg) and LC411669 (20 µg) can be purchased separately from OriGene.

Target Information
SOX17 (transcription factor SOX-17) belongs to the SRY-related HMB box family of transcription factors. It acts as a transcription regulator that binds target promoter DNA and bends the DNA. It binds to the sequences 5'-AACAAT-'3 or 5'-AACAAAG-3'. SOX17 modulates transcriptional regulation via WNT3A and inhibits Wnt signaling. It promotes degradation of activated CTNNB1. SOX17 plays an essential role in the regulation of embryonic development and is required for normal looping of the embryonic hear tube and for normal development of the definitive gut endoderm. Mutations in the gene can result in vesicoureteral reflux.
