Meredith Daley is a global sustainability lead at Thermo Fisher Scientific with more than 18 years of experience advancing waste, Zero Waste, circularity, and commercial end-of-use solutions. Her work spans global waste strategy, water scarcity, customer circularity programs, nature data oversight, review of sustainability-related contract commitments, and the application of AI to improve data quality, efficiency, and decision-making. She has also contributed to industry waste methodology and guidance through BioPhorum, helping advance approaches to manufacturing process waste quantification and waste hierarchies. Meredith holds an M.P.H. in Environmental Health from the University of Maryland, College Park.

Accomplishments

Meredith has played a key role in advancing Thermo Fisher Scientific’s global sustainability and circularity initiatives. She built the company’s global customer end-of-use solutions capability, developing the strategy and a centralized digital resource that brings recycling and circularity options across products and regions into a scalable, customer-facing platform. She also developed the original Zero Waste strategy and led its expansion to 38 certified sites. Through BioPhorum, Meredith co-authored industry methodology papers and guidance on manufacturing process waste quantification and waste hierarchies, helping drive pre-competitive alignment among global suppliers and customers. Her work brings together Commercial, Product Management, Risk Management, Procurement, and Sustainability teams to develop comprehensive end-of-use and waste strategies, build stakeholder alignment, and accelerate implementation.
