Cross-Belt online elemental analyzers help cement producers improve quality control and process efficiency, save energy, and reduce waste.
The two most common applications for cement online analysis are raw mix proportioning and blending pile control.
Cross-Belt analyzers are installed directly on the conveyor belt, so materials are measured continuously and in real time to troubleshoot issues in pre-blending stockpile control/quarry management, raw mix proportioning control and material sorting. Cross-Belt systems based on Prompt Gamma Neutron Activation Analysis (PGNAA) are well suited for cement analysis both by themselves and in combination with X-ray fluorescence (XRF) analysis.
PGNAA data can be combined with XRF lab results for improved process optimization. Software is available that helps keep the PGNAA online analyzer synchronized with the off-line laboratory XRF system.
Watch this recent webinar, Cement Online Analyzer Performance and Calibration, for a complete overview of how these powerful technologies can work together to provide consistent kiln feed, greater throughput, streamlined processes, and more comprehensive analysis.
