Applications
Octanal is an aromatic aldehyde often found in citrus oils. It is used commercially as a component in perfumes and in flavor production for the food industry.

Slightly soluble in water.

Notes
Store in cool place. Keep container tightly closed in a dry and well-ventilated place. Containers which are opened must be carefully resealed and kept upright to prevent leakage. Handle and store under inert gas. Air and moisture sensitive. Incompatible with strong oxidizing agents.
