This CDK11/cyclin C recombinant human protein (CDK11: 1–502, cyclin C: 1–283) was expressed in insect cells. CDK11/cyclin C serine/threonine kinase is dimeric protein complex. CDK11 is one of the components of the Mediator co-activator complex. The Mediator complex is a multi-protein complex required for transcriptional activation by DNA binding transcription factors of genes transcribed by RNA polymerase II. Cyclin C is a member of the cyclin family of proteins. The encoded protein interacts with cyclin-dependent kinase 8 and induces the phophorylation of the carboxy-terminal domain of the large subunit of RNA polymerase II. CDK11/cyclin C recombinant human protein is also available in our
